First step, at an early Demo Stage, of a new project I’m getting into for Herman Dune
We’ll be working on it all through 2011
Although it doesn’t really make sense to have a favorite Bob Dylan album
It would almost be like having a favorite sunset
This one, still, might be it for me
I first heard Shot Of Love, pretty late in time, as I was influenced by the common thought, at least around me, that his Christian albums weren’t as excellent as the others…
I was happily proved wrong, better late than ever, in 2005, when a friend played it on our touring vehicle’s stereo, and my mind got blown away, song after song, by the majesty, the honesty, and the enlightened way in which each track was written, up to the closing number “Every Grain Of Sand”. I’d say that “Every Grain Of Sand” is my favorite Bob Dylan Song, and also one of the most intimate texts I’ve ever heard or read, speaking of Faith, Fear and Strength, and in a simple way, of Beauty.
I’ll work my way up to Every Grain Of Sand, song by song, first by myself, then with Herman Dune, hoping to get to a satisfying point by 2012, when I’ll be sharing the joy of performing these tunes in public with my dear friends.
